The ‘Your climate and flood smart guidelines' highlight the important and varied role planning can play in responding to climate change.
The guidelines communicate hazard resilience simply and graphically - improving community awareness and promoting the role of planning to manage the effects of urban heat and flooding.
The project demonstrates leadership that makes a positive impact on addressing climate change and can be easily transferred to other local governments or types of hazard. The judging panel congratulates Moreton Bay on this important piece of work.
