This course is designed for planners, engineers, urban designers and landscape architects to develop a better understanding of how the Movement and Place approach can be applied to a range of strategic planning and design projects involving place making, land use and transport.
The Movement and Place approach brings together existing ways of design thinking and problelm solving. It uses a common language to address the range of challenges and opportunities within our activity centres and main streets, and is suitable for anyone working in these areas.
The course will provide practical insights, tools and knowledge on how to incorporate Movement and Place into a wide range of project settings and situations, including streetscape design, activity centre planning, and strategy development.

Presenters
Ben Krastins is a tranport engineer turned planner, who has been at the forefront of applying the Movement and Place in Victoria framework since its emergence in circa 2019.
Using insights from his time working in Local Government, Ben works closely with Council's across Victoria, bringing together stakeholders and exploring innovative (and often creative) ways of applying Movement and Place to strategic planning and design projects.
Ben regularly presents on Movement and Place at industry seminars, conferences, training courses, Councillor groups and project working groups.
