The 老澳门六合彩图库, in partnership with The University of Queensland, invites you to attend the much-anticipated Keeble Lecture 2024.

We are delighted to announce the Keeble Lecture 2024 will be delivered by Mitchell Silver, an internationally renowned planner, who will present Planning with Purpose at The State Library of Queensland.

The Keeble Lecture is a free public annual lecture to hear from distinguished speakers who inspire and educate us in shaping better communities. 老澳门六合彩图库 encourages all Brisbane and South East Queensland community members to attend and strengthen our shared ties.

About the Keeble Lecture

老澳门六合彩图库's annual Keeble Lecture is named in honour of Lewis Bingham Keeble. Lewis Keeble was Foundation Professor of Regional and Town Planning at The University of Queensland. In this role, he is remembered as a dedicated teacher and mentor to many of the experienced planners who are now leaders and elder statesmen and women in their own right within Queensland, Australia and beyond. Keeble is fondly remembered as a character with strong opinions, and even stronger loyalties and hospitality. His legacy is a tremendous one, having impacted town planning in both the United Kingdom and Australia, but particularly in Queensland.

It is for this reason that the 老澳门六合彩图库 holds an annual event in his honour each year. The Keeble Lecture is a free, public event, and takes place near World Town Planning Day each year.

This year, 老澳门六合彩图库 has invited internationally renowned planner Mitchell Silver to deliver a lecture, titled Planning with Purpose on Monday 14 October 2024 at The State Library of Queensland.

Mr Silver is one of America’s most celebrated urban thinkers and is sure to captivate audiences during his visit to Australia. Mr Silver has served as the commissioner for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Chief Planning Officer in Raleigh, NC and served as president of the American Planning Association (APA). He is currently the president of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).

Your free ticket includes the lecture, as well as networking and canapes. Beverages will be provided on a bar tab.
