- Briefing
The 老澳门六合彩图库’s (Victorian) Women’s Planning Network (老澳门六合彩图库 WPN) are partnering with the Municipal Association of Victoria to learn and share how councils are approaching Gender Impact Assessments (GIAs) in the local planning policy space.
The Victorian Gender Equality Act (2020) requires councils to complete GIAs on all new (or when reviewing) policies, programs or services that have a direct and significant impact on the community. Councils have been active in doing this work across much of their business.
Come along to hear from the 老澳门六合彩图库 WPN, Dr Niki Vincent, Commissioner for Gender Equality in the Public Sector and Victorian councils on best-practice GIAs on planning matters.
This event will begin a conversation on an important topic and will seek to build capacity, knowledge and confidence when council officers are considering the need to prepare a GIA on a planning matter. This is a free event and all Victorian council staff are welcome to register.
