Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking a motivated person with highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Development Assessment and Building Certification Division.
As the Development Assessment Coordinator, you will be fundamental for the City’s growth and will play a crucial role in leading the continuous improvement of planning functions of Council.

This position will be responsible for:
As the Development Assessment Coordinator, you will lead and manage the Development Assessment Team in the provision of high-quality development assessment services, including monitoring of workflows, managing stakeholders, input into Council’s strategic goals and the development of procedural improvements to work practices and procedures.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role, such as Bachelor of Planning;
- General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card);
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence;
- Highly developed skills in managing multiple projects and making effective decisions in tight timeframes;
- Substantial experience in providing leadership, motivation in a team environment, adapting to, influencing and leading change in a working environment; and
- Highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills strongly focused on the provision of quality customer service.
