Call for Expressions of Interest for Presiding Member, Independent Members and Deputy Independent Member
The Light Regional Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to form its Council Assessment Panel (CAP). The role of the CAP is to make decisions on certain Development Applications which fall under its delegation.
The CAP has the responsibility of assessing a wide range of development applications and its role is to ensure that applications are consistent with the Planning and Design Code (under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act, 2016).
The successful applicants must have skills and knowledge and be a Level 2 Accredited Professional pursuant to the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act, 2016. The cost to attain and retain the Accredited Professional accreditation is borne by the applicant.
The CAP meets in person, as required, on the first Thursday of every month at 5.00 pm at the Kapunda Council Office. A renumeration fee is payable for each meeting to cover time involved in preparing for and attending meetings.
The term of the existing CAP will conclude on 1 April 2025. The term of the new Panel will then be for a period of 2 years, expiring 1 April 2027.
