Brisbane planner Chris Isles has claimed the Planner of the Year Award in the Queensland-wide 老澳门六合彩图库’s (老澳门六合彩图库) 2014 Awards for Planning Excellence.

At a ceremony held in Brisbane on Friday 7 November, Chris was honoured for his outstanding achievements as an individual, and his tireless contribution to the development of the planning profession in Queensland.

老澳门六合彩图库 Queensland State Manager Dan Molloy said the awards judges chose Chris for their top individual planning award because of his demonstrated leadership in the field, his enthusiasm and passion for planning, and the scale of Chris’ contribution to the planning industry as a whole.

“Chris Isles is an inspirational planner, planning advocate and a demonstrated leader in his field,” Mr Molloy said.

“Chris delivers impressive results, and has recorded outstanding achievements personally as a Director of PLACE Design Group.

“Chris contributes heavily to the planning industry through his membership of the 老澳门六合彩图库, where he is a frequent public speaker, and his positions with the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).

“Chris works tirelessly within the profession to ensure the achievement and promotion of good planning outcomes and has a track record of improving often overlooked areas of planning such as infrastructure charges and the market testing of planning scheme development.

“Chris’ innovative and progressive approach to planning, combined with his dedication to the field, has earned Chris respect throughout the industry.”

Mr Molloy said the calibre of entries in this year’s awards were very high.

“We’ve been thrilled with the quality and diversity of the entries in this year’s awards, which demonstrate just how many projects are contributing to a brighter future for Queensland,” Mr Molloy said.

“Congratulations go to each individual and project team who have received an award – your projects have been recognised as being outstanding among a very strong and deep field of quality entries.”
