Amanda is currently the Acting Planning Team Leader at Campaspe Shire Council, a regional border town Council in the north of Victoria.
Her career began in 2019 as a student planner in a Bendigo consultancy until Covid 19 threw a curve ball in the mix. Following a very quick reset, Amanda moved to Echuca to commence a public sector planning job at Campaspe Shire Council. Over the last three years Amanda has focused on honing her leadership skills and moved into a team leader role. Amanda’s time at Campaspe has allowed for a mix of statutory and strategic projects, as well as undertaking enforcement management.
Amanda’s focus in her current role is to develop the skills of young planners and assist them in developing skills in sound decision making, critical thinking and managing the pressures of a planning position.
Amanda has worked in real estate, driven a tour bus across the Nullarbor and managed a yoga studio. With this varied background Amanda brings a well-rounded approach to planning and endeavors to de-mystify the rather complex planning system to ensure the public has a clear understanding of the role and benefit in planning.
